NCEPU Organized “Experience China” Series of Activities for International Students in 2023


To implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinpings two replies to international students in China, enhance the understanding of international students in China about the national key strategies, such as the Belt and Road, Carbon Peaking & Neutrality and Rural Revitalization, and deepen International students in China love and identify with Chinese culture. In July 2023, based on the advantages and characteristic disciplines of our university, our university organized and launched the Experience China: A Journey of the Belt and Road, Carbon Peaking and Neutrality, and Revitalization Journey. More than 50 international students in China participated in this event.

On July 7, our university organized international students in China to visit the Central Gift and Cultural Relics Management Center. The centers exhibition displays more than 670 representative gifts (sets) that have been received and presented by party and state leaders in diplomatic activities since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China, demonstrating the path taken by the Chinese Communists in successfully opening up and developing the diplomatic cause of New China and the glorious history and brilliant achievements achieved. During the visit, the international students followed the guides footsteps, carefully browsed the precious items in the display cabinets, looked for diplomatic gifts from their own countries, and realized that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has comprehensively promoted Chinas Distinctive major-country diplomacy with Chinese characters and advanced the great practice and historic achievements of building a community with a shared future for mankind.



On July 9, our university organized international students from China to visit the Ming Tombs to visit the exhibition World Heritage Treasures: The Elegance of the Ming Dynasty. The exhibition displays a total of 60 sets and 105 pieces of unearthed cultural relics. Each precious cultural relic shows the beauty of Chinese culture and tells a Chinese story. International students coming to China have an in-depth understanding of the historical development process of the Ming Dynasty, appreciate the exquisite traditional Chinese handicrafts, and feel the breadth and depth of Chinese traditional culture. After visiting the exhibition, the international students also visited the Dingling Tomb, one of the Ming Tombs, to experience the charm of Ming culture firsthand.



On July 11, our university combined our advantages as a world-class university and developing world-class disciplines, and organized international students in China to visit the State Grids Future Science City exhibition hall. During the visit, the staff introduced the development history, latest scientific research results and future development vision of the State Grid to the international students. The international students had in-depth exchanges with the staff and gained a deeper understanding of the development of Chinas power grid.



This Experience China event enables international students in China to fully experience the Belt and Road and Carbon Peaking & Neutrality national strategies. Visiting the Central Gift and Heritage Management Center and the Ming Tombs will allow international students to understand the history and culture of their origins, encourage more international students to learn about the continuous historical process of Chinese civilization, promote cultural exchanges, and contribute to the advancement of the Belt and Road construction. Visiting the State Grid allows international students in China to personally experience Chinas rapid development in related science and technology fields and understand the national strategy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, which reflects Chinas determination to adhere to the path of green and low-carbon development and promote the common development of all mankind.

This exhibition allowed me to see many precious exhibits. They are all beautiful and also allowed me to learn more about them. I will share a lot of Chinese history and traditional Chinese culture with my family and friends.
