NCEPU Successfully Completed the "First Class of the New Semester” for International Students

Accompanied by the advancement of back-to-school work for the autumn semester, the campus has regained its previous vigor and vitality. According to the overall arrangement for return to school, the International Education Institute held the "first class of the new semester" for 167 international students living in the school on September 4. This class mainly passed pandemic prevention and control knowledge, pandemic prevention laws and regulations, as well as campus management, teaching management and routine management onto students. "The first class" aims to popularize knowledge of self-protection, improve students’ pandemic prevention awareness, make students know NCEPU’s future teaching management program, and encourage students to prevent pandemic and resume study at the same time in the new semester, and to pay "equal importance" to pandemic control and study.

Zheng Le, Deputy Director of the International Education Institute, first expressed his gratitude to all 167 international students for their great sacrifice and strenuous efforts to the pandemic control in the past eight months. He stressed that the victory was hard-won and could not have been achieved without the support and understanding of every international student present. He expressed his hope that international students could continue to support the pandemic control and campus management policy of NCEPU, and would not "leave the campus unless it is urgent or necessary". In case of special circumstances, students should report and communicate with the International Student Office. Under the condition that pandemic control procedures were met, the office would help students solve problems. Mr. Zheng Le then presented the details of the English pandemic prevention manual. He hoped that international students could protect themselves as per the pandemic prevention manual.

Mr. Hu Jinguang from the International Student Office explained the campus management policy and the application procedures for entering and leaving the campus, as well as the routine management arrangements, such as teaching management and scholarship management. At the end of the class, Mr. Hu Jinguang answered the questions that the international students were concerned about one by one.

At present, there are about 1,000 international students in the university. According to the arrangement of the superior departments, international students outside China, including new students and returning students, cannot return to China and the university for registration. Adhering to the concept of running a responsible university, the International Education Institute has coordinated teaching resources to carry out online teaching for international students, so that international students could have normal online classes via network, in the campus, in China or abroad. This effort helped to gradually restore and promote the teaching order for international students. Meanwhile, the International Education Institute will organize online "first class of the new semester" for international students who are unable to enter campus in various forms.
