NCEPU Organized International Students to Watch the Opening Ceremony of “ the Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation


On October 18, the opening ceremony of “the Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech titled Building an Open, Inclusive, and interconnected World for Common Development Our school organized international student representatives from “the Belt and Road” countries to watch the opening ceremony collectively.



Xi Jinping pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the joint construction of “the Belt and Road” initiative. Over the past 10 years, countries have adhered to their original aspirations and worked hand in hand to promote “the Belt and Road” international cooperation from scratch, flourish and achieve fruitful results. “The Belt and Road” initiative will enter a new stage of high-quality development, advocating for countries to deepen “the Belt and Road” cooperative partnership, and announcing China's eight actions to support high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road”.

HAMMAD, a master from Pakistan, said that “the Belt and Road” brings many countries together, including Pakistan, to promote mutual cooperation and development. At the same time, it also provides more opportunities for young people to learn different cultures, exchange different ideas, and shape more futures.



KHISHIGDELGER, a master from Mongolia, said that Mongolia, as a good neighbor, good friend and good partner of China, has reached an agreement to jointly promote the cooperation and development of the two countries. Under “the Belt and Road” initiative, more and more Mongolian students are coming to China to study. We can use our bilingual advantages to help the development of various industries in the two countries and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.



North China Electric Power University actively implements “the Belt and Road” initiative, takes the initiative to undertake national diplomatic tasks, and relies on the university’s advantageous disciplines to recruit and train international students from more than 70 countries in China. Formulate a work plan to promote the joint construction of “the Belt and Road” educational action, strengthen educational exchanges and cooperation with countries along “the Belt and Road”, and sign a “Belt and Road” Energy Academy partnership memorandum with 15 overseas universities including the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. Adopting the “order-based” talent training and service model for the entire process of enrollment, training, and employment, we have signed strategic cooperation agreements on international talent training with domestic energy and power companies, and incorporated the training of international students into the company’s “going global” development strategy.
