On November 24, the online award ceremony of “2022 iBeijing: Beijing in My Eyes” Photo Contest for International Friends was successfully held. This photo contest is co-sponsored by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, and co-organized by the Beijing Minhe Foundation for International Exchange and the Beijing Enthusiasts Amateur Photographer Association.

More than ten international students from our university participated in this photography competition. Among them, the work of MANGWANYA PANASHE DYLAN, an international student from Zimbabwe, stood out from nearly 1,500 submissions from foreign friends from 42 countries on five continents and won the Award of Excellence .

DYLAN said:“ I am honored that the photos I took can be recognized by the organizer. In the past few years of living in Beijing, as an international student in China, I have personally experienced the high-quality development of modern Beijing. I love the city of Beijing very much, and I also like to continue to use it. The camera captures the beautiful moments of hard work and progress in this modern international metropolis. After I complete my studies and return to China, I will show all the photos I took in Beijing to my family and friends to show them the charm of Beijing.”

The “Beijing in My Eyes” Photo Contest for International Friends is a traditional culture exchange project of the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and one of “the iBeijing” brand activities. The event started in 2009 and this year is the 13th. While telling the story of Beijing’s development from the unique perspective of foreign friends, it also provides a platform for photography enthusiasts from all over the world to enhance friendship and exchange art.
