International Students in Our University Participated the 2023 Global Energy Interconnection Conference


The 2023 Global Energy Interconnection Conference was held in Beijing from September 25 to September 27. Our university was invited to organize more than a hundred international students to participate in this conference. The theme of this conference is "Global Energy Interconnection and New Energy System", with academician forums, plenary sessions, large-scale exhibitions and 12 parallel themed forums.



International students collectively visited the booths of State Grid and famous domestic and foreign power giants to learn about the achievements in global energy transformation and new power system construction and development. Based on their majors and interests, students can choose to participate in these forums. The international students who participated in this event said that they were very lucky to have the opportunity to participate in this conference, interact with the global energy Interconnection community, and accumulate the most cutting-edge knowledge in the energy field. Yara, a master, majoring in renewable energy and clean energy from Sudan, said, “the most honourable thing about participating in this conference is the opportunity to communicate and dialogue with important people in the field of renewable energy. Listen to their conversations and get their advice. is an honor and I will view these insights as valuable guidance in the future in this field.



2023 marks the eighth anniversary of the Global Energy Interconnection Initiative and the second anniversary of the Global Development Initiative. It is also an interim review year for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, an important node year for the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change, and a key year for promoting energy transformation. As a university specializing in energy and electric power, our university serves the national strategy, cultivates more international talents in energy and electric power-related majors for the world, and helps build a community with a shared future for mankind.
