ABSTRACT

Performance can be defined as the performance and outcomes of an individual, team, or organization in terms of achieving desired goals, completing tasks, and meeting predetermined standards. This paper takes the performance appraisal system of Company M as the research object and aims to explore how to establish an effective performance appraisal system and improve its performance management. Through literature research, case studies, and survey interviews, this thesis provides an in-depth analysis of the theoretical basis and practical experience of performance appraisal.

Firstly, it explains the current status of research on employee performance appraisal at home and abroad and examines the cases and experiences of performance appraisal systems of Barclays Bank, Ping An Group of China, and China Mobile Communications Group.

Secondly, the article summarizes the existing problems, assessment methods, indicators, etc. through the analysis of the existing performance appraisal system of Company M.

Finally, the article puts forward the objectives and ideas for improving the performance appraisal system of Company M as well as the suggestions for improvement and proposes the main contents and strategies for improvement, such as the use of incentives such as rewards and promotions to stimulate the motivation and development of employees. Supporting reforms to reform the performance management system are proposed on this basis.

Through this study, we hope to provide theoretical guidance and practical experience for M's performance appraisal system, promote the improvement of its performance management level and better adapt to the competition and needs of the education market.
